TEMptation: Corporate mobile usage; analysis of personal versus business spend

As well as producing this blog, I subscribe to numerous others that also look at the telecoms industry and cost management environment.  TEMptation, a Telecoms Expense Management blog, this month posted an entry regarding a survey carried out by a Dutch TEM organisation.  Some topline findings from the Ezwim Telecom Monitor:

• Private use of the corporate mobile is common:
  • 30% of calling cost is private;
  • Holiday countries are no.1 roaming destinations in July & August;
  • New Year’s Day and Valentine Day are the Top 2 days for SMS volume.
• Private usage of the company mobile is on the rise: growth of 8,3% since 2006 

It makes interesting reading and follows on nicely from the issue of contactless mobile technology that I discussed in my last post.
